ABOUT MYSELF

Hi there! My name is Mark Limbo, and I'd like to thank you for visiting this site. The work you will see here represents many of my interests, and it is my hope that it relates to you in some way.

I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, and started drawing and painting at an early age. As a youngster, I was immediately fascinated by the ocean and anything that lived in it, particularly sharks. I began studying them, and naturally began to paint them. It was the start of a lifelong obsession!

After the military, I attended the Atlanta College of Art, then the Art Institute of Atlanta from which I graduated in 1993. The following years saw me traveling to many of the places that would provide the most inspiration for my work. One destination that has always held a special place for me is Apalachicola Florida, where the mix of history and old 'Forgotten Coast' rustic beauty is hard to beat for any artist.

When I'm not in front of a canvas, I can usually be found somewhere casting a line, collecting and studying First World War firearms, or out discovering new beers...a person can never have too many interests. Thanks again for visiting, and I hope to hear from everyone soon!
